Home Improvement followed Tim Taylor, host of the home-improvement show Tool Time, and his family life with wife Jill and three kids. Richard Karn, who played Tim’s Tool Time co-host Al, has had a long and successful career since the series ended, starring in a slew of movies, TV shows (Air Bud, Ctrl) and even hosting game shows. He’s also been part of a couple of History Channel home workshop shows, and he and Allen are still close.
